Morning:  We will be waiting for you
at the Savusavu airport to share a warm greeting followed by many surprises all day, including a special Fijian style welcome and foot  massage.  You will then be offered your first gourmet lunch at the resort property.  Allow yourself to relax and let go.

The lifestyle here is very laid back and easy going.

Gourmet meals, all your accommodations and fun Fiji events have been arranged especially for you.

Afternoon:   The time for your afternoon massage will be scheduled upon arrival.

The native Fijians have a natural gift of touch. The rainforest setting and the warmth of the Fijians will leave you with an experience to be remembered.

The trickling streams and calling birds are some of the sounds you’ll hear during your coconut-oil massage, in the lush Fijian jungle surrounding the Rainforest Spa. And the detoxifying bindings that swaddle you during your body wrap come from the banana trees in the resort’s own grove. Even the coconut shavings used to polish and exfoliate your skin in the Sensational Scrub are gathered from a nearby plantation. That’s because everything at Koro Sun Rainforest Spa is as homegrown as possible — from the three treatment bures lighted by candles and lanterns and decorated with giant ferns to the 11 treatments ripe with ingredients like organic papaya, aloe and cucumber. All you have to do while you’re here is sit back, relax — and see, feel, hear and smell the island.

Afternoon: The Village Tour & Waterfall Trek

A cool, refreshing and spectacular treat! The Nakasa Waterfall is hidden atop Fiji’s verdant hillside, with crystal clear waters and swimming pool just ready for you to take the plunge.

We start in the village of Nakasa, with a traditional presentation and village tour. Morning tea is spent with the villagers, and then it’s on to adventure. Your guides will show you how to jump from the highest ledge for the daredevils, or the lower ledge for the less lion-hearted.

This full day is a bit of culture, a bit of adventure, and a total Fiji experience!

Afternoon: Kayak To Lotu Island

Kayak across the lagoon to Lotu Island, named after the fruit bats living on the island. You can explore tide pools and swim in a cave on the open ocean side of the island, called “lovers grotto.” Climb through a hole in the rock at just the right moment before the tide waters rush through. On this 1-2 hour excursion you will circumnavigate the entire island and then kayak back to the resort across the channel.

Local School Visit and Neighborhood Outreach
Join a Koro Sun Resort Guide on a Fijian village school trip. This experience offers a true lesson in Fijian culture and the history of Fiji. The experience is sure to make you thankful and appreciate everything you have been blessed with. See the way these culturally-diverse children learn in and out of the classroom, including the most important of native Fijian traditions: kindness and courtesy. The happy smiles on the children’s faces is more than enough as payment for this gesture. If you have coloring books, pens or educational materials you are welcome to bring them along. We will be setting up an outreach in advance for this area to provide assistance where needed.

Afternoon: Fijian Food Adventures

Herbal Walk
The rainforests of Fiji are magical and mystical places. Within their depths lie amazing herbal “remedies” used by the indigenous Fijians for years. Your Koro Sun guide will share with you the knowledge that they’ve gained from their ancestors including which leaf would be used to cure a stomach ache, or which root will treat diabetes, what bark stops a headache dead in its tracks? The wonders of nature unfold for you!

Cooking Class
Spice up your next event with a recipe from Chef Joeli. The live cooking demonstration will prepare a menu of Kokoda (Fish ceviche). He will entertain you with a fun and informative demonstration while you are able to enjoy the Kokoda. In the future, every time you prepare this recipe, you’ll be swept back in time to your magical experience in Fiji.

Evening: Claiming Favor for Your Mountain of Influence

During this session you’ll discover:

• Identify which Mountain of Cultural Influence you are primarily called to: Arts & Entertainment, Education, Family, Government, Media or Religion.
• Why the 7 Mountains are better understood as Mountain Ranges, offering varying degrees of difficulty — and why you may be called to a Level 1 Degree of difficulty in one mountain and a much higher level in another.  Very important for your effectiveness.

LOVO 
Lovo is an underground earth oven, where your dinner is cooked on hot coals and heated rocks. The earth acts as an oven trapping the heat while cooking your dinner over a period of many hours. You can watch from the preparation stages until it is “unearthed” and table ready for you to enjoy during the weekly Meke and Lovo night.

MEKE (Fijian Dancing)
Meke is a Fijian traditional dance of the indigenous people of Fiji where men, women & children participate together in this entertaining tradition. It is a combination of dance & repetitive rhythmic chanting  that tells the stories of everyday life, ancient gods and the battles won. Some dances are performed seated while some standing. Accompanying this dance is music,  often in the form of the steady beating of sticks. Do not miss this exciting performance and a true Fijian Tradition.

During this session you’ll discover:

So many choices and this is the last afternoon you will have time to take advantage of the island adventures. Enjoy golfing at this Koro Sun 9 Hole Golf Course. Try your hand at Bocce ball, Snorkeling, take a walk through the rainforest, lounge by one of the many pools or just take a nap.

Morning: Departure

After enjoying your final gourmet breakfast, you will pack up and prepare to be escorted to SavuSavu Airport where you will fly home to begin again refreshed and renewed.
